About our taxi services
With our full day taxi services it is possible to visit a number of attractions in Doi Inthanon National Park or any other areas in Chiang Mai Province. The attractions to visit must be agreed in advance so that we can inform you of a crystal clear quote.
Our regular taxis are SUVs for up to 4 people, minivans are for bigger groups up to 10 people. All our cars are spacious, with a/c and comfortable.
Our taxi services are private means no others will join you.
Service hours
Our price is for pickup from Chiang Mai City. Additional charges will apply if pickup location is elsewhere in the province.
The service hours are flexible. We suggest a 7 am pickup with service inside the park until 4 pm. After that, you will be returned to Chiang Mai City.
To see the sunrise, for an additional charge it is possible to start the taxi service as early as 4 am, and continue the service in the park until 1 pm. It is easy to search online what time the sunrise will happen in Chiang Mai on a specific day of the year. Just search i.e; "Sunrise in Chiang Mai on 1st of June". For early pickup to see sunrise, an additional +200 Baht will be charged.

Price
The quotes shown further below are per taxi (not per person) and include fuel, driver's and car's entrance fees (not yours). The service hours can also be extended at the attractions for an additional +200 Baht per starting hour.
The price doesn't include your personal expenses like your entrance fees, guide fees to walk trails, meails, refreshments. No tips needed, there won't be any hidden costs on top of what we agree in advance.
Additional charges apply if you include a visit to;
- Mae Ya Waterfall south of the park, +500 Baht
- Mae Pan Waterfall & Campsite west of the park, +300 Baht
- Doi Suthep Temple (only the temple), +500 Baht
- Pha Chor in Mae Wang National Park (closed March/April), +300 Baht (SUV only)

Lovely day in Doi Inthanon and great driver. We had done a few tours before in Thailand and decided that just booking a taxi and no guide was fine for us. It worked really well. Driver tried really hard to communicate and we did well using translate apps. Timings were all good, food was great and it was easy to get a guide for the trail. Definitely recommend taxi only for this trip.

We had a great day exploring the park with the help of our driver who was helpful and kind. This included helping us to order vegetarian options at the restaurant, which were delicious. Very glad we did this option instead of going via shared taxi, and would recommend anyone who wants to visit the park do so via this! The Kew Mae Pan nature trail the driver took us to was beautiful, it’s 3.5km and you do need to be taken by a guide for 200 bahts per group. The pagodas also worth seeing, nice flowers and gardens around them a coffee shop with a view! The large waterfall also very impressive and a good stop at the end of the day.

The process from inquiry to various questions to the actual trip was smooth. Our driver spoke enough English to communicate with us and helpful. We saw what we planned except one waterfall which he said was far and small and suggested my mom may not be able to walk there so we did not do that one. However everything else was fine and it was a good trip. Thank you!

Trip was okay-ish. Unfortunately, our driver was not speaking English at all, so the communication was a bit tricky. We used an online translation app, but you do not always have internet at the national park, so we could not use it all the time. The driver was very committed though.
We also had to pay on top for: pick up at hotel and for entrance fees: approx 800 baht (2 pax plus the car we came with), which were not mentioned in the cost proposal.
Furthermore, in the end we could not pay the whole experience costs via credit card, that’s why we had to get to an ATM and paid bank fees of 7€ as well.
All in all, in a nutshell it was a „taxi service“ experience, because no additional information could be given by the driver due to not speaking English.

You have mistaken this simple taxi service BIG TIME to a guided tour with an English speaking guide. So, you are avoiding to pay 3 times more money for a guided tour, and expect that same service from a taxi service?

Furthermore, during the enquiry process between us and you, we clearly stated this (copy+pasting from our reply to you);
"Your personal expenses like entrance fees to the national park, meals, refreshments are not included, if you choose to walk the Kew Mae Pan trail, the group charge (quite cheap) for local guides at the trailhead is also not included in our price. Once the national park entrance fee is paid, no other entrance fees apply to the attractions inside the park with the exception of 100 Baht per person to enter Two Chedis (Twin Pagodas)."

To us, it looks like you are not reading anything written to you. Your eyes probably quickly seek the line where we mentioned the price, and here afterwards you are accusing us of giving you misleading information.
A taxi service is simply a taxi service. It is also illogical to have a fixed taxi price including the entrance fees because there can be 1 up to 4 passengers in the car, entrance fees varying 400 - 1200 Baht (park + 2 Chedis).
If you take a taxi in your country to some attractions that requires entrance fees, ask driver to wait until you are back, why would that taxi driver pay your your entrance fees?

Our drivers are not guides, they are not allowed to act like one. This because they don't have a guide licence, acting like a guide would put them and us in trouble with the authorities. They can not give you any information about the attractions, stops, wildlife, anything about the park. We already agreed with you, like we do with any other guests, about what stops our driver will take you to. That's all our driver needs to do. BECAUSE IT IS A SIMPLE TAXI SERVICE.
It is really not our problem how much ATM charge you had to pay. You were clearly instructed to have cash with you. Thailand hasn't come up to a stage where taxis are equipped with card readers. Sorry for "falling behind" in technicalities compared to whatever country you are from.

Very good service in terms of:
1. Replying messages and corresponding on the planning. I contacted Thai National Parks around 1 month before my trip, and they always reply to me in a very timely and helpful manner.
2. Punctuality. Driver on the day was already ready at 4.30AM when I left my hotel for Doi Inthanon.
3. The website system itself. I really like this portal they have to accurately display the trip planning, payment, and messages. It's very systematic and easy to use, and goes through email as well, so we don't have to create an account or username on the website.
Thank you very much Thai National Parks on an amazing trip to Doi Inthanon. I went on a completely solo trip and was very happy I found them through Google. Please keep up the great service.
